There was a time when Jasin and Lotus couldn’t go a single day without speaking. Morning or night—without a “Good Morning,” the day felt incomplete. Without a “Good Night,” sleep wouldn’t come. Even in their busiest moments, they made time to connect, to say something—anything.
Speaking wasn’t just a habit. It was emotional grounding.
They shared everything—small joys, deep sorrows, disappointments, hopes. Their bond felt alive, flowing, real.
But time… it changes things.
Maybe life got overwhelming. Maybe priorities shifted.
At first, they skipped a day or two of conversation.
Then silence settled in, stretching longer and deeper.
Jasin would think, “She must be busy. She’ll reach out soon.”
Lotus would wonder, “He doesn’t talk like he used to. Maybe it’s just me.”
But neither of them said a word.
That simple, beautiful habit—speaking—faded.
And with it, the life in their relationship quietly withered.
There was no fight, no bitterness, not even hurt feelings.
Only silence.
That once-vibrant connection became a soft blur in memory.
Even now, they “like” each other’s posts on social media.
Once in a while, a mutual friend might say,
“Remember how much they used to talk?”
But those days live only in the past now.
So many relationships end—not with a bang, but in silence.
A few days without words slowly builds a wall that becomes too heavy to break down.
Someone who was once “home” becomes just a familiar name.
Jasin has lost many.
Lotus too.
And one day, they might quietly lose each other completely—without ever saying goodbye.
If only they had held on to that one small thing:
The habit of talking.
Maybe the story would have ended differently.
Maybe the bond would have stayed alive.
Because being in a relationship is one thing—
But keeping it alive, keeping it breathing—that’s another.
In today’s busy world, don’t let go of this simple gift.
Talk. Check in. Say something.
Even a short message can mean the difference between closeness and slow separation.
A conversation may seem small—but its value is beyond measure.
Bring it back before it’s too late.
It might just bring life back to a relationship you thought was fading.
