  • A Thought from My Journey

    By Choitalyk Ruman

I once thought that if I wished hard enough, life would somehow change on its own. I used to close my eyes, whisper my hopes to the stars, and wait for something magical to happen. But as time passed, I realized that wishes alone don’t move mountains, decisions and actions do.

A wish is like a candle; it glows beautifully for a moment, but it takes commitment and courage to turn that flicker of light into a flame that truly brightens your path.

There was a period in my life when I kept waiting ; waiting for the “right moment,” the “perfect time,” or for something to magically fall into place. I kept saying, “Maybe tomorrow.” But one day, I asked myself ,What if tomorrow never comes?

    That question changed everything.

That’s when I learned to connect life with my days, not just count my days and call it life. Each sunrise became a reminder that I have another chance to do something meaningful  to love, to forgive, to grow, to simply be.

And as I started to live with more awareness, I also began to understand the true value of people  those who walk beside you quietly, those who listen when you need to talk, those who show up when you least expect but most need it.

I used to think love was about big gestures  grand words, fancy gifts, and perfect moments. But now, I’d rather have one rose, or even a wildflower from the side of the road, handed to me with genuine care. I’d rather have a friend say, “I’m proud of you,” or “I’m here,” while I’m still here to smile back and say thank you.

Because love, appreciation, and kindness mean the most when they are given while we are alive to feel them.

So now, I cherish every person who gives me their time, their love, their care, and their attention. Life has taught me that the most valuable gifts aren’t wrapped  they’re felt.

If I could give one piece of advice from my own journey, it would be this:
Don’t just wish for change  decide, and then take one small step every day toward it. Don’t wait for a special day to say kind words today is already special.

Every sunrise is a new beginning, and every kind heart that crosses your path is a blessing.

To everyone who has shared even a small part of my journey  thank you. You’ve been a light in my story, and I appreciate you more than words can say.

    With love and gratitude,
Just saying… life is short  live it with heart.

  • The Sweetest Lesson

    By ChoitalykRuman

Once upon a time in a small village nestled between green hills and golden fields, there lived a cheerful little boy named Arin. He was about six years old, with bright eyes full of wonder and a heart as gentle as a spring breeze.

One sunny afternoon, Arin went to the village market with his mother. After buying some vegetables, they stopped by a cozy little shop at the corner—Mr. Ranu’s Sweet Store. It was every child’s favorite spot, filled with jars of colorful sweets, crunchy cookies, and little toys that jingled when you shook them.

Mr. Ranu, a kind old man with twinkling eyes and a thick mustache, spotted Arin walking in.

He leaned over the counter and smiled, “Ah, what a sweet boy! Come here, little one.”

He took out a large glass jar filled with rainbow-colored sweets and opened the lid with a flourish. The smell of sugar and strawberries floated in the air.

“Dear child,” he said warmly, “you can take some sweets! Go ahead.”

But Arin, to everyone’s surprise, simply smiled and shook his head. He kept his hands behind his back and didn’t move an inch.

Mr. Ranu was puzzled. “Why not? Go on, don’t be shy. Take some.”

Arin looked up at him politely but didn’t take the sweets.

His mother, who had been watching, gently nudged him. “It’s okay, Arin. You can take some, dear. Uncle is offering.”

Still, the little boy stood still.

Finally, with a chuckle, Mr. Ranu reached into the jar himself, scooped out a generous handful of sweets with his big hands, and dropped them into Arin’s tiny palms—so full they spilled a few onto the floor!

Arin’s eyes sparkled with joy, and he clutched the sweets tightly as they walked home.

On the way, his mother smiled and asked, “Arin, why didn’t you take the sweets when Uncle asked you to? You’re usually so quick to grab your favorites.”

The little boy looked up at her with a knowing smile and said softly:

“Mom… my hands are small. If I had taken the sweets, I could’ve only taken a few. But Uncle’s hands are big—so I got much more!”

His mother paused, stunned for a moment—not just by his cleverness, but by the quiet wisdom in his words.

She bent down, kissed his forehead, and said, “That’s a very smart thought, my son.”

    Moral:

Sometimes in life, we rush to grab what we think is best for us, using our own limited understanding. But when we trust and wait for God’s timing—when He gives, He gives abundantly, far beyond what we could ever gather with our own little hands.

God always gives the very best to those who patiently leave the choice to Him.

  • Reclaiming Your Voice: When the Inner Critic Isn’t Really You

Have you ever noticed how, in quiet moments, a harsh voice suddenly rises from within—telling you you’re not enough, that you’re failing, or that you’re unworthy of love, success, or peace?

This voice doesn’t come from nowhere. Often, it’s a lingering echo of the past. It may sound like your own voice now, but its roots are usually tangled in the words of others—parents who shamed, teachers who dismissed, friends who betrayed, or a society that told you to shrink to fit in.

It’s the voice of the inner critic. And for many of us, it’s been speaking for so long that we mistake it for our truth.

But here’s what’s important to remember:
You are no longer that powerless child who had no choice but to listen.
You’re not that person stuck in silence, afraid of being misunderstood or rejected. You are here, now—awake, aware, and free to choose the story you tell yourself.

The Inner Critic is a Shadow, Not a Truth

Spiritual traditions across the world remind us that we are not our thoughts. We are the awareness behind them. Rumi, the great Sufi mystic, once wrote, “Don’t get lost in your pain, know that one day your pain will become your cure.”

The inner critic is part of that pain. But it can also be the doorway to your healing. When you recognize that this voice is borrowed, inherited, or conditioned, you loosen its grip. You begin to see it for what it is—a shadow, not the sun.

Honoring the Wound, Not Living From It

This journey isn’t about silencing the inner critic with force. It’s about listening with compassion, understanding where it came from, and gently choosing to no longer let it lead.

    You might say:
“I hear you. I know you’re trying to protect me from pain. But I no longer need that kind of protection. I am safe now. I am strong. And I speak from love, not fear.”

When you speak to yourself like this, you begin to reclaim the sacred space of your own inner world.

The Power to Choose a New Voice

The most beautiful truth is this: You have the power to choose your voice. You are not bound to repeat the narratives of your past. Each day, you can decide to speak to yourself with kindness, to affirm your worth, and to anchor yourself in truth rather than criticism.

This is a deeply spiritual act—because choosing love over fear is the foundation of awakening.

You might start by whispering new words to yourself in moments of doubt:

    “I am growing, not failing.”

“I am learning to love myself, just as I am.”

“I am guided, protected, and never alone.”

“My voice matters. My truth is sacred.”

    Stepping Into Wholeness

When you begin to trust your own voice, something shifts. You no longer seek validation from the world to feel whole. You remember that your soul already holds the wisdom, strength, and clarity you need. The inner critic fades into the background, replaced by a deeper, more loving presence within.

That presence is your essence. It is the part of you connected to the Divine, unshaken by judgment, and radiant in truth.

So, the next time that inner critic gets loud, take a deep breath. Place a hand on your heart. And remember:
You are not that powerless child anymore.
You are a soul in bloom. You have the right—and the responsibility—to speak to yourself with the same love you so freely offer to others.

    You are not broken.
    You are becoming.

  • Everything Would Be Different If You Loved Yourself: The Story of Sophia and Tasin

We often think, “If only I had that one thing,” “If only that person loved me,” or “If only luck were on my side!” But how often do we ask ourselves? What if I loved myself?”       Self-love isn’t just a feeling—it’s magic that rewrites life’s trajectory. Through the story of a young woman named Sophia, let’s explore how valuing oneself changes everything.

A girl named Sophia, the nights in Dhaka, felt suffocating. Office deadlines, her parents’ expectations, and an uncertain relationship with her boyfriend, Tasin, drowned her in an invisible river of despair. She loved Tasin deeply, but his every criticism made her blame herself: “I’m not pretty enough,” “I’m failing at work,” “Why can’t I do better?” These thoughts haunted her relentlessly.

One evening, Sophia got caught in the rain on her way home. Tasin called, demanding,

“Why aren’t you back yet?                                Did you make dinner?”                                      She swallowed her tears. At home, she stared into the mirror—a tired, defeated face stared back. Suddenly, she remembered her childhood self, who once proudly drew her own portraits.                                                 When did I become my own enemy?

The next day, at the library, a line from an old book struck her: “Self-love isn’t selfishness—it’s oxygen for the soul.”* The words pierced her heart. From that day, she made small changes:
    – Every morning, she smiled at the mirror and said, “You’re enough.”
She stopped carrying the weight of Tasin’s expectations and bought herself a dress *she* loved.
She spent time alone—listening to music and writing poetry.

At first, Tasin was annoyed. But slowly, he noticed Sophia’s newfound confidence. She now said, “My choices matter,” or “I need space right now.” One day, he asked, “Why have you changed so much?” Sophia smiled, “I learned to love myself. And that taught me that *my* love for me comes before yours.”

Time shifted. Tasin, inspired by Sophia’s self-assurance, began questioning his own self-worth. Their relationship grew respectful, but Sophia’s real victory was this: **”My value isn’t measured by someone else’s love—I am my own sanctuary.

Sophia’s story teaches us that self-love isn’t a luxury—it’s survival. Can you offer yourself a cup of kindness at the end of the day? Embrace your flaws? If not, start today. Because **”the courage to love yourself can alter the world’s course—first within you, then around you.

Let your self-love be the most beautiful love story you ever write

  • The Prayer That God Hears Is the One From the Heart

Have you ever wondered what kind of prayer truly reaches God?

We often learn rituals, memorize words, and repeat them with our lips, believing that the form alone is enough. But deep down, many of us have felt that something is missing. There are moments when we sit in prayer, yet our minds are elsewhere. Our lips move, but our hearts are quiet. And in those moments, we feel the emptiness. Why? Because true connection with the Divine doesn’t begin with the tongue—it begins with the heart.

The prayer that God hears is not about how perfect our words are or how many times we repeat them. It is the silent cry of the heart that captures divine attention. When your heart aches, when it breaks open in longing, when it rises in sincerity and surrender—that is the moment God listens. That’s the kind of prayer that doesn’t need translation.

God does not listen to us because we sound wise or because we’ve mastered a religious routine. He listens because we are real with Him. When the heart speaks, it speaks a language all its own—a language not made of words but of emotion, love, sincerity, and truth.

There is a kind of suffering, a kind of deep yearning, that the heart carries—sometimes without us even understanding it fully. It may not be visible to anyone else, but God sees it clearly. He sees beyond our masks, beyond our efforts to appear composed. It is in that rawness, that vulnerability, that real connection happens.

Worship, too, should be a movement of the heart. If your heart is absent, it’s okay to pause. It’s better to take a moment to be honest with yourself and with God than to go through the motions without meaning. God is not impressed by empty rituals. He doesn’t dwell in outward perfection. He dwells where there is truth—and truth lives in the heart.

The language of the heart is the song of love. It’s the soul’s yearning for the Beloved. And here’s the beautiful part: the Beloved is not far away. He is not found only in grand buildings or far-off places. The Beloved resides within you. His only true home is the heart.

So the next time you feel unsure of how to pray or feel unworthy because you don’t have the right words—remember this: You don’t need the right words. You only need a willing heart. A heart that loves, that longs, that hopes, that cries out—this is the heart that God hears.

And in that stillness, in that authenticity, you will find what you’ve been seeking all along: the Divine Presence, gently waiting within you.

  • Where You Focus, You Grow

Life has its ups and downs—there’s no escaping that. You’ll face difficulties, moments of sorrow, and times when things don’t go your way. That’s just part of the journey. But where you choose to place your focus can make all the difference.

I remember a time when I felt completely overwhelmed. It was a few years ago, and everything seemed to be falling apart at once. Work was stressful, my personal life felt uncertain, and I was struggling to keep up. One evening, I sat alone, staring at the walls of my small apartment, feeling exhausted and drained. My mind was filled with worries—”What if things don’t get better? What if I fail? What if this heaviness never lifts?”

The more I focused on these thoughts, the heavier they became. I lost sleep, I lost motivation, and worst of all, I lost sight of the beauty around me. My world felt gray, as if all the light had faded.

Then, one afternoon, something shifted. I was walking through a nearby park, lost in my worries, when I noticed a little girl running ahead of her mother. She stopped suddenly, crouched down, and marveled at something on the ground. Curious, I slowed my pace and looked closer. It was a tiny yellow flower, growing through a crack in the pavement.

I don’t know why, but in that moment, something clicked. That little flower had found a way to bloom despite its harsh surroundings. It didn’t wait for perfect conditions; it grew right where it was. And if a flower could do that, why couldn’t I?

That evening, instead of focusing on my problems, I made a small shift. I asked myself, What have I learned from this struggle? How have I grown? What in my life, right now, is still beautiful? I started keeping a journal, writing down one thing each day that I was grateful for, no matter how small.

Some days, it was just the sound of rain on my window or a kind word from a stranger. Other days, it was a deep realization about myself—how I had become stronger, more patient, more understanding. The more I focused on these moments, the lighter I felt. My problems didn’t magically disappear, but they no longer consumed me. Instead of draining me, they became stepping stones for my growth.

That’s the power of focus. If you constantly dwell on your problems, they start to feel bigger, heavier, and more consuming. But if you shift your attention to what you’re learning and the beauty that still exists, you’ll begin to see life differently.

Challenges come with lessons—lessons that make you wiser, stronger, and more resilient. Every hardship holds a hidden gift, a chance for growth, if you choose to see it. Instead of letting difficulties steal your joy, allow them to shape you into a better version of yourself.

Life is a balance. Nothing lasts forever—not the good times, but also not the bad ones. So, in the midst of your struggles, don’t forget to acknowledge the blessings you still have. Look around and find something to be grateful for, even in the smallest details. Gratitude shifts your perspective, allowing you to see life’s gifts more clearly.

And here’s the beautiful thing: when you focus on the good, you naturally open yourself up to more goodness. You become more creative, more courageous, and more inspired. Your energy flows where your attention goes. So why not direct it toward something that uplifts you?

Let life teach you, not break you. Trust in the process, find joy in the present, and keep your heart open to all the beauty still unfolding.

  • Finding Strength and Peace in Uncertain Times

There is no doubt that the COVID-19 pandemic has shaken the world, filling many hearts with fear and uncertainty. However, rather than allowing worry to consume us, we can choose to channel our energy into something far more meaningful—healing. Our planet, our communities, and even our own inner world are in need of healing now more than ever. Fear weakens us, while faith strengthens us. At this moment, we have the choice to either panic or trust that everything is unfolding according to a higher plan.

This moment in time has given us a unique opportunity: a chance to pause. Instead of dwelling on fear, let’s embrace stillness and use this time to reflect, pray, and send love to Mother Earth. The world moves so fast that we often forget to nurture the very essence of life around us. Now, as we are asked to stay home, let’s use this period wisely—to reconnect with God, to uplift others with our prayers, and to send out healing energy. Each one of us can contribute to a positive shift simply by focusing on love and compassion rather than fear.

Blame will not serve us. Pointing fingers and fueling division will not bring solutions, only more distress. What will truly make a difference is our collective intention to heal and support one another. Let us replace blame with prayer, fear with faith, and doubt with trust. With God, nothing is impossible. If we focus on the good, even in times of crisis, we become part of the healing process rather than the problem. Now is the time to unite, to lift each other up, and to choose hope over despair.

Moreover, this pandemic is a reminder of life’s fragility. It has shown us how interconnected we all are and how important it is to appreciate the little things—breathing fresh air, sharing laughter with loved ones, and feeling the warmth of the sun on our skin. Life is fleeting, a precious gift given to us with each breath we take. Why waste it in fear? Instead, let’s fill our days with gratitude and purpose. Every step we take, every action we perform, can be a dedication to our Creator. True happiness does not come from control over circumstances but from trust in God’s wisdom and the ability to surrender to His divine plan.

So, let us not be afraid. Let us be cautious, yes, but not consumed by fear. Instead, let’s embody courage, faith, and wisdom. This too shall pass, and when it does, may we emerge from it stronger, more compassionate, and more deeply connected to the essence of life itself. Let’s use this time to become more mindful, to nurture our souls, and to strengthen our connection with the Divine. Trust the process, and remember—you are never alone. Even in the darkest times, light is always present for those who seek it.-

  • Cherish the Moments Before They Slip Away

Life moves swiftly, often feeling like a blur of responsibilities, challenges, and unexpected turns. It wasn’t until I experienced a deep moment of loss and reflection that I truly understood how precious time is. I remember a time when I gave my heart to someone, trusted them with my vulnerabilities, and believed they would stand by me in my hardest moments. But when I needed them the most, they weren’t there. The absence stung, leaving behind a hollow space where love once resided.

I spent days questioning, wondering why love sometimes fails to hold its promise of companionship. At first, I felt pain and disappointment, but then I turned inward. Instead of seeking answers from the outside world, I embarked on a journey within—a journey of self-discovery, healing, and peace.

I am trying to learn about myself, to live within the sound of my slow breathing, which moves like a soft-feathered bird. It is an extremely peaceful journey within me. As I sit in stillness, closing my physical eyes, I begin to see a magnificent view—not with my sight, but with my soul. Ahh! Feeling joy, happiness, clarity, steadiness, and calmness wash over me as I cleanse—cleansing, cleansing—releasing the weight of past sorrows, letting go of the pain, and expanding my consciousness. I realize that love is not just about who stays or who leaves; it is about the energy we cultivate within ourselves. Love is not something to be begged for—it is something to be radiated.

And that’s when it hit me. Love is the most powerful door opener to the land of peace. With the key of love, everything becomes possible. Love is a creation, a force of transformation. In the blink of an eye, so much can change. A single careless word can cast a shadow over someone’s day, just as a loving word can brighten it. This is why we must be mindful—radiating love, speaking with kindness, and spreading warmth wherever we go.

That experience taught me that love is not just about receiving; it is about giving freely, without expectations. If you love someone, let them know—not just through fleeting words, but through actions that leave no doubt. Be present. Show them that they matter. Because the perfect moment is not in the distant future—it is now. If we keep postponing love, we may one day realize its importance, but by then, the moment to express it may have already passed.

But even beyond loving others, we must first love ourselves. Keep visiting your inner self, for that is where true peace resides. No need to search elsewhere—it is within your heart, waiting to be embraced. When we become love, when we become light, we become a source of peace not just for ourselves, but for the entire world.

The world needs our love. Let’s give it freely.

  • Your Brain Can Speculate and Calculate, but Only Your Heart Knows the Truth—Listen to It

We live in a world that glorifies logic, analysis, and planning. From a young age, we are taught to think critically, weigh our options, and make calculated decisions. And while the brain is an incredible tool—capable of problem-solving, predicting outcomes, and strategizing—it is not always the best guide when it comes to the deeper truths of life.

Your brain speculates. It calculates risks. It runs through scenarios, anticipating what might go wrong and what could go right. But in all its reasoning, it can also be clouded by fear, doubt, and external influences. The brain is shaped by past experiences, societal expectations, and the opinions of others. It tells us what is practical, what is safe, and what makes sense. But does it always tell us what is right for us?

On the other hand, your heart does not calculate—it simply knows.

The Heart’s Wisdom: A Deeper Truth

The heart speaks in a language beyond words. It whispers the truth when the mind is tangled in confusion. It nudges us toward paths that feel right, even when logic warns against them. Have you ever had a moment where something just felt right or wrong, without any logical explanation? That is your heart’s wisdom at work.

Unlike the mind, which operates in the realm of logic, the heart operates in the realm of intuition. It connects us to something greater than ourselves—whether you call it the soul, divine guidance, or an inner knowing. When we listen to our hearts, we align with our truest selves, making choices that resonate with our deepest values and purpose.

Why We Struggle to Listen to Our Hearts

Despite its wisdom, we often ignore the heart’s voice. Why? Because we have been conditioned to believe that logic should always come first. We are told that emotions can be unreliable, that intuition is not scientific, and that we must always have a solid, rational explanation for our choices.

But what if the greatest truths cannot always be explained? What if the best decisions in life—the ones that bring us true fulfillment—are felt rather than calculated?

Fear also plays a role. The mind is designed to protect us from risk, so it often holds us back from following our hearts. It asks, What if I fail? What if this doesn’t work out? What if others don’t approve? Yet, the heart does not operate from fear; it operates from love. It asks, What if this brings you joy? What if this is your path? What if this is exactly what you are meant to do?

How to Tune into Your Heart’s Voice

If you want to hear the wisdom of your heart, you must create space for it to speak. Here are a few ways to do that:

    1. Silence the Noise – In our busy lives, the mind is constantly active. Take time each day to sit in stillness, whether through meditation, a walk in nature, or simply a few deep breaths. The quieter the mind, the louder the heart’s voice becomes.

    2. Feel Instead of Think – When faced with a decision, instead of analyzing it endlessly, ask yourself: How does this feel? Does it bring a sense of peace and expansion, or does it feel heavy and forced? The body often reacts to truth before the mind catches up.

    3. Trust Your First Instincts – Have you ever had an immediate gut feeling about something but later rationalized your way out of it? Your first instinct is often your heart speaking. Trust it.

    4. Follow What Brings You Joy – The heart always leads us toward what lights us up. Pay attention to what makes you feel alive and energized, and dare to pursue it.

    5. Let Go of Fear-Based Thinking – Fear and doubt will always try to drown out your heart’s wisdom. Recognize when your mind is leading with fear, and choose to lean into trust instead.

    Living from the Heart

When we live from the heart, life flows with more ease. Decisions become clearer. We stop overthinking and start trusting. We embrace paths that align with our true nature, even if they don’t always make sense to others.

Your brain is an incredible servant, but your heart should be the master. Let your mind assist in the journey, but let your heart lead the way.

Because in the end, the deepest fulfillment comes not from what makes sense on paper, but from what feels right in your soul.

So, listen to your heart—it already knows the way.
