  • Living as One Energy

    By Choitalyk Ruman 12/22/2022

Believe that the world is deeply beautiful. Each morning, awaken with awareness and choose thoughts that uplift your heart. When we focus on what is good, kind, and meaningful, we quietly shape a more compassionate world, starting from within.

It is important to honor every person’s voice and to treat all people with respect. No one should be measured by job titles, appearance, or material wealth. These are temporary forms, not the essence of who we are. At our core, we are spirit, soul, Atma, divine breath, or sacred energy, known by many names across traditions, yet understood by the same truth.
Our bodies are vessels for this energy, and the Earth is a place of learning, not a permanent home. We are all travelers here, each playing a unique role for a short time. No soul is higher or lower than another. We are equal, connected, and woven from the same universal energy. In this oneness, there is no separation, only shared existence.
May we fully embrace this journey of life with humility and joy. And when our time here gently comes to an end, may we leave behind kindness, wisdom, loving values, and beautiful memories for those who continue the journey after us.
I wish you a peaceful and joyful path. May you find success in ways that nourish your soul, offer love without conditions, and remain grateful for the gift of this life. Continue to share positive energy, and even when surrounded by darkness or negativity, choose to heal, uplift, and bring light. In doing so, we quietly help heal the world

  • The Light That Lasts

    By Choitalyk Ruman

There was once a woman named Emily who lived in a small village. She wasn’t the richest, the loudest, or the most educated person around but she had something rare: a quiet, steady light inside her.

Every morning, Emily would step outside and remind herself, “Be the salt and the light in someone’s life today.” And she lived by that. When she saw an elderly neighbor struggling with groceries, she carried them home. When a child cried because his kite tore, she sat with him and helped mend it. When a friend felt hopeless, Emily listened, not to speak, but to understand.

People often wondered why she did so much when she never asked for anything in return. Emily would simply smile, because she knew something they didn’t:
We are not remembered by our words, but by our deeds.

One day, during a town festival, someone asked her, “Where does your strength come from?” Emily paused and said, “From noticing the light within myself… and allowing it to shine. When you let your inner light glow, your greatness blossoms naturally. And when it does, you can help others see theirs too.”

Years passed, and even long after Emily was gone, people still spoke of the moments she created, moments that took their breath away not because they were grand, but because they were full of kindness.

A repaired kite. A shared meal. A comforting presence. A gentle smile at just the right time.

Her legacy lived not in what she said, but in how she made others feel.

Because life, everyone eventually realized, is not measured by the number of breaths we take… but by the moments when someone’s simple goodness touches our soul.

And Emily’s light, once small and humble, continued to shine through countless hearts—proof that being the salt and the light can transform more lives than we ever imagine.

  • The Quiet Beauty of Ordinary weekend.

    By Choitalyk Ruman

This morning, I woke to a soft golden light spilling through my window. When I pulled the curtain aside, the world outside seemed wrapped in quiet beauty the maple leaves had turned deep red, some shimmering like pure gold. The berries along the fence glowed crimson, a small feast waiting for the birds before winter arrives.

It felt like the earth was preparing gathering, giving, and gracefully letting go. I stood there for a while, just breathing it in. No rush, no noise, just the stillness of a Saturday morning reminding me how time moves not with thunder, but with whispers.

You don’t notice the days passing until you pause like this until you realize the moments that once felt ordinary were actually the heartbeats of your life. Breakfasts shared with family. Laughter echoing down the hall. The quiet walks after dinner when the world feels softer.

One day, those little things become the ones we ache to return to not the milestones, not the grand successes, but the simple, everyday pieces of love stitched into our routine.

The sunlight touching your kitchen table. The sound of someone you love laughing in another room. The hugs that linger for just a second longer.

These are the treasures we carry , not in photographs or timelines, but in our hearts. They stay there, glowing quietly, reminding us that life’s beauty is never in the rush, it’s in the noticing.

So, take a breath. Look around. Feel the warmth of the sun, the song of the wind, the kindness in someone’s smile.

Because even this moment ,this ordinary, golden Saturday , is already becoming a memory.

  • Every Moment Becomes a Memory

    By Choitalyk Ruman

This morning I woke to quiet light,
curtains parting on a golden sight
maple leaves blushing red and gold,
    autumn’s beauty, gentle and bold.

    Berries gleamed along the lane,
a feast for birds before the rain.
The world was calm, yet softly alive,
    whispering, “even stillness can thrive.”

    Time moves quietly, never loud,
like sunlight slipping through a cloud.
You don’t see it leave, not right away
until the moments start to fade.

    Breakfast laughter, a porch-side smile,
    footsteps echoing for a while.
The simple things, we let them pass,
not knowing they’re the ones that last.

The warmth of tea, the evening breeze,
a hug that lingers, small mercies of ease.
Each breath, each glance, each tender sound
these are the jewels life scatters around.

So slow your heart, and softly see,
    how beautiful ordinary can be.
Because even now, this golden day
    is quietly, gently slipping away.

And one day, when winter fills the sky,
you’ll close your eyes and realize why
the smallest moments, kind and true,
became the memories that carry you.

  • The Story of a Woman Named Tahura

    By Choitalyk Ruman

I have a friend named Tahura. Full name was Tahura Parvin. For as long as I can remember, she had been searching for love. She always believed that somewhere out there was someone who would make her whole, someone who could finally fill the emptiness she often felt inside.

But over time, she began to notice something. Attraction was not love-it could appear quickly and just as quickly fade away. Longing was not love either — it was only temporary. The rush of excitement, the nervous energy, even the sweetest promises — all of these, too, could change or break with time.

After many rises and falls in her life, one evening Tahura had a realization. Love was never outside of her. Love was not a thing to be given or taken, but a quiet field within her, always present. In that field lived joy and sorrow, hope and despair, beginnings and endings. Relationships might stay or dissolve, people might come and go — but the field itself never disappeared.

She understood then: no one had ever “given” her love. In truth, she had only touched her own vastness when she was with another, and then she had mistakenly credited them for it. And when she thought love was gone, it hadn’t actually left — she had simply forgotten the field within. Love, she saw, was like the ocean, unchanged beneath the rise and fall of waves.

Today, Tahura no longer searches for love outside herself. She has learned to live as the light. Instead of clinging to another’s affection, she finds joy in giving love freely. Her greatest discovery has been this: what she longed for all along was already inside her.

With a gentle smile she often says,
“The search begins and ends in the same place — in presence. I realized that I am love itself, and once I knew that, everything changed.

  • The Quiet Beauty of an Unremarkable Life

    By ChoitalykRuman

Somewhere along the road of growing older, I’ve started asking a different kind of question—not about achieving more or standing out, but about what it means to simply be.

There was a time when I equated meaning with success. With visibility. With being someone others recognized or admired. But these days, in the soft hush of early mornings or the long pause before sleep, I ask myself something else entirely:

Can a life be deeply meaningful even if it’s not exceptional by the world’s standards?

This question doesn’t come from sadness. It comes from curiosity. It’s the kind of question that stirs quietly in the soul—not loud or dramatic, just honest.

I no longer chase urgency. Some mornings, there’s no plan at all. No project waiting. No title to uphold. So, I sit. I breathe. I listen. Not to the world clamoring outside, but to the subtle rhythm within: the slow rise of breath, the quiet heartbeat, the pulse of simply existing.

I think often of the words of Alan Watts, who once wrote:
“The meaning of life is just to be alive. It is so plain and so obvious and so simple. And yet, everybody rushes around in a great panic as if it were necessary to achieve something beyond themselves.”

That line lands differently the older I get. It’s not a call to do less. It’s an invitation to see more—to notice the sacredness hidden in the ordinary, the beauty of just being here.

I’ve lived a life of genuine effort. I’ve been a filmmaker, a teacher, a musician, a nonprofit worker. My days were full of purpose, but they didn’t come with headlines or honors. Still, something inside kept whispering, “It’s not enough. You could’ve done more.”

That whisper wasn’t mine alone. It was inherited—from a culture that prizes greatness over goodness, performance over presence, visibility over sincerity.

Even in my younger years, I remember wanting to be seen. Not for fame, but for validation. I had dreams, questions, a yearning for connection—but rarely felt invited to share them. I wasn’t excluded, just overlooked. And so I learned to measure value by recognition. If no one asked, maybe it didn’t matter. If I wasn’t extraordinary, maybe I wasn’t enough.

These quiet injuries shape us. They drive us to overextend, to seek affirmation outside ourselves, to confuse being noticed with being worthy.

But now I understand—I was never failing. I was simply living a different kind of life. A sincere life. A quiet, faithful walk through the world that doesn’t always show up on resumes or in applause.

    And that realization shifted everything.

Because this isn’t only about personal healing—it’s about cultural remembering.

In many parts of modern life, especially in the West, aging is treated like a slow vanishing. Youth is glamorized. Speed is celebrated. Noise is rewarded. We speak of honoring elders, but too often we forget to listen to them. The wisdom of lived experience is brushed aside for the flash of the new.

But not every culture has forgotten.

In many Indigenous communities, elders are the memory-keepers. The ones who hold the stories, the rhythms, the guidance passed down through seasons of being. The Stoics believed that wisdom—not fame—was the highest virtue. In ancient tribes and forgotten villages, older voices still guide the path forward, not because they shout, but because they’ve learned to listen first.

What kind of culture forgets the value of its elders? What kind of system discards a deeply lived life simply because it doesn’t perform anymore?

I don’t want to answer that question with frustration. I want to live the alternative. If the world forgets to see aging as deepening, then I will choose to see it that way—for myself and for others.

In recent years, I’ve found comfort in Buddhist teachings. Not as dogma, but as a gentle rhythm. The Four Noble Truths helped me name a suffering I never quite understood: the craving to be other than I am. That craving once wore the mask of ambition, perfection, and productivity. But I now see it for what it was: a distraction from presence.

The invitation of the Buddhist path isn’t to achieve. It’s to return. Return to presence. To enoughness. To the gentle breath of now.

Letting go of the need to be exceptional doesn’t mean giving up. It means softening into what’s real. It means asking: What happens if I live this moment fully, even if no one applauds?

Carl Jung once said that his prescription for most patients was simple: walk every day and write things down. I’ve taken that to heart. Writing has become my way of listening inward. I don’t write for fame. I write to find clarity. To feel the quiet pulse of truth beneath my experiences. Even if no one reads the words, they’ve already done their work in me.

I no longer wait for someone to offer me a platform. I’ve stopped hoping to be chosen. Instead, I live as if what I carry matters—because it does.

Even now, doubts visit me. Did I make enough of this life? Did I leave a mark? But I’ve learned not to fear those questions. I welcome them like old friends. And I respond, softly:

Yes. It matters. Because I lived it with heart. Because I stayed true to what called me. Because I kept showing up—even when no one was looking.

    That, to me, is enough.

Perhaps we were never meant to be exceptional. Perhaps we were meant to be present. To live with care. To offer kindness. To pass along something quieter than legacy but more enduring than fame: presence, attention, love.

Maybe that’s what it truly means to be wise.

And maybe that’s what elders have always known.

  • Slow Down to See the Beauty of Life

In today’s fast-paced world, we often find ourselves rushing through each day, always striving for the next goal, the next achievement, or the next task. But have you ever stopped to ask yourself: What am I missing in all this rush?

When we move too fast, we inevitably leave behind the small, precious details that truly make life rich and fulfilling. By constantly being on the go, we often fail to notice the beauty in our surroundings, the authenticity in our relationships, and the wisdom that comes with simply being present.

    The Power of Pausing

Think of life as a scenic journey through nature. If you sprint through a lush forest, your mind set on reaching the end, you may miss the vibrant wildflowers blooming along the trail or the sound of birds singing above. The same goes for our daily lives. When we don’t pause to broaden our viewpoint, we limit our ability to see things as they really are — in their full beauty and complexity.

Taking time to pause allows us to see with new eyes. We begin to notice what we’ve been overlooking — whether it’s an opportunity, a relationship, or simply the joy of the present moment. This is where the magic lies: in the stillness, in the willingness to step back and observe. Here, we can discover the clarity we’ve been searching for.

    Finding What You’ve Been Overlooking

When you give yourself permission to slow down, you open the door to a deeper connection with life. You may find that what you’ve been chasing has been right in front of you all along. Whether it’s peace, understanding, or fulfillment, it’s often waiting in the spaces we fail to notice in our hurried state.

    Seeing the World Anew

Each day, when I go for a walk, I remind myself to be fully present. Instead of rushing to get my steps in or focusing on my to-do list, I take a moment to slow down and appreciate my surroundings. I notice the squirrels darting up the trees, their tiny bodies full of energy, completely immersed in the moment. I hear the birds chirping above, their songs weaving a melody into the air. The simple act of paying attention transforms an ordinary walk into something much deeper — a connection to life itself.

In those moments, I realize how easy it is to overlook these small wonders when we’re caught up in the hustle. How many times have we walked by a blooming flower or missed the laughter of a child playing, simply because our minds were elsewhere? By slowing down, I’ve learned to see the extraordinary in the ordinary. It’s in these moments of pause that life reveals its true beauty.

    Finding Joy in the Stillness

There’s something profoundly healing about these simple observations. As I walk and take in the details around me, I feel my mind quiet and my spirit settle. I’m reminded that life isn’t a race to the finish line — it’s an unfolding journey, filled with opportunities to connect, learn, and grow.

By pausing to see what’s around me, I’ve discovered the joy that exists in the present moment. It’s a lesson I carry with me daily: the understanding that the beauty I seek is often right here, waiting for me to slow down and notice.

This addition brings a personal story into the article, creating a connection with your readers by sharing a relatable experience. It also emphasizes the message that slowing down allows us to experience life more fully. What do you think?

  • Unveiling the Inner Self: The Power of Mindfulness in Discovering Our True Essence

In our daily encounters, we often perceive others solely through their outer appearance, yet each individual harbors a deeper, unseen essence that remains shrouded from our awareness. This hidden persona, residing within every one of us, holds the key to understanding ourselves and others on a profound level. However, it is through the practice of mindfulness that we can begin to unearth this concealed aspect of our being.

Mindfulness, at its core, is a simple state of mind characterized by open attention to the present moment. It invites us to observe our thoughts, emotions, and sensations without passing judgment or criticism. By adopting an attitude of non-judgmental awareness, we create space for a deeper understanding of ourselves and the world around us.

The practice of mindfulness encourages us to embrace the full spectrum of our experiences, both pleasant and unpleasant, without clinging to or resisting them. Instead of being swept away by the currents of our thoughts and emotions, we learn to stand as impartial observers, witnessing the ebb and flow of our inner landscape.

Through mindfulness, we cultivate a heightened sense of self-awareness, allowing us to connect with the person within – the one obscured by layers of conditioning, expectations, and societal norms. As we delve deeper into the recesses of our psyche, we may encounter aspects of ourselves that have long lain dormant, awaiting acknowledgment and acceptance.

Living mindfully means residing in the present moment, free from the shackles of past regrets or future anxieties. It involves expanding our awareness to encompass the richness of each passing moment, savoring the sights, sounds, and sensations that constitute our lived experience.

By embracing mindfulness as a way of life, we embark on a journey of self-discovery and personal transformation. We learn to navigate the complexities of our inner world with grace and compassion, cultivating a deeper sense of empathy and understanding for ourselves and others.

In a world characterized by constant distraction and incessant busyness, mindfulness offers a sanctuary of stillness and serenity. It invites us to pause, to breathe, and to reconnect with the essence of our being – a timeless presence that transcends the confines of ego and identity.

In conclusion, mindfulness serves as a gateway to the exploration of our innermost selves, enabling us to peel back the layers of illusion and rediscover the truth of who we are. Through the practice of open attention and non-judgmental awareness, we awaken to the infinite depths of our being, embracing life with newfound clarity, purpose, and vitality.

  • Understanding Spirituality: Nurturing a Profound Connection with the Divine

In a world often dazzled by the extraordinary and the supernatural, the concept of spirituality stands as a beacon of simplicity and profound connection. Contrary to popular belief, spirituality transcends the realm of mysticism and esoteric phenomena. At its core, spirituality is about forging a deep and intimate bond with our divine source, nurturing a connection that permeates every aspect of our being.

Beyond the  Extraordinary:                                                 In today’s society, spirituality is sometimes misconstrued as something mysterious or otherworldly. However, it is important to recognize that spirituality does not necessarily entail the pursuit of extraordinary experiences or the attainment of supernatural powers. Instead, it invites individuals to embark on a journey of self-discovery and inner transformation.

The Essence of Spirituality:                Spirituality, in its essence, is about cultivating a sense of awareness and mindfulness in our daily lives. It is about recognizing the interconnectedness of all beings and embracing the inherent beauty and sacredness of existence. At its core, spirituality is not bound by any specific religious doctrine or belief system. Rather, it transcends cultural boundaries and speaks to the universal longing for meaning and purpose.

A Strong Connection:                              Central to the concept of spirituality is the notion of connection – a profound and unbreakable bond that links us to something greater than ourselves. This connection manifests in various forms, whether through prayer, meditation, or acts of compassion and kindness. It is a reminder that we are not alone in this vast universe, but rather, we are part of something infinitely greater and more magnificent.

Growing Intimacy:                                         we delve deeper into our spiritual journey, and we begin to cultivate a growing intimacy with our divine source. This intimacy is not based on fear or reverence, but rather on love, trust, and surrender. It is a relationship that evolves over time, nurtured through moments of quiet reflection, contemplation, and inner stillness.

The Path of Spirituality:                                   The path of spirituality is not always easy or straightforward. It requires courage, perseverance, and a willingness to confront our innermost fears and insecurities. Yet, it is also a path of immense beauty and grace – a journey that leads us to the very heart of our being.

In Conclusion.                                                       In conclusion, spirituality is not about chasing after the extraordinary or the miraculous. Rather, it is about embracing the ordinary moments of life with a sense of reverence and awe. It is about finding meaning and purpose in the simplest of things and nurturing a deep and abiding connection with our divine source. Ultimately, spirituality is a journey of the heart – a journey that leads us home to ourselves.
