  • A Thought from My Journey

    By Choitalyk Ruman

I once thought that if I wished hard enough, life would somehow change on its own. I used to close my eyes, whisper my hopes to the stars, and wait for something magical to happen. But as time passed, I realized that wishes alone don’t move mountains, decisions and actions do.

A wish is like a candle; it glows beautifully for a moment, but it takes commitment and courage to turn that flicker of light into a flame that truly brightens your path.

There was a period in my life when I kept waiting ; waiting for the “right moment,” the “perfect time,” or for something to magically fall into place. I kept saying, “Maybe tomorrow.” But one day, I asked myself ,What if tomorrow never comes?

    That question changed everything.

That’s when I learned to connect life with my days, not just count my days and call it life. Each sunrise became a reminder that I have another chance to do something meaningful  to love, to forgive, to grow, to simply be.

And as I started to live with more awareness, I also began to understand the true value of people  those who walk beside you quietly, those who listen when you need to talk, those who show up when you least expect but most need it.

I used to think love was about big gestures  grand words, fancy gifts, and perfect moments. But now, I’d rather have one rose, or even a wildflower from the side of the road, handed to me with genuine care. I’d rather have a friend say, “I’m proud of you,” or “I’m here,” while I’m still here to smile back and say thank you.

Because love, appreciation, and kindness mean the most when they are given while we are alive to feel them.

So now, I cherish every person who gives me their time, their love, their care, and their attention. Life has taught me that the most valuable gifts aren’t wrapped  they’re felt.

If I could give one piece of advice from my own journey, it would be this:
Don’t just wish for change  decide, and then take one small step every day toward it. Don’t wait for a special day to say kind words today is already special.

Every sunrise is a new beginning, and every kind heart that crosses your path is a blessing.

To everyone who has shared even a small part of my journey  thank you. You’ve been a light in my story, and I appreciate you more than words can say.

    With love and gratitude,
Just saying… life is short  live it with heart.

  • When I Plant a Tree

    By Choitalyk Ruman

Today I’ll plant a little tree,
A gift of hope from Earth to me.
I’ll dig a hole, both wide and deep,
To give its roots a place to sleep.

I’ll pat the soil and smooth it round,
And listen to the gentle sound
Of wind that whispers through the air,
Saying, “Thank you, child, for showing care.”

I’ll give it water, clear and cool,
Like pouring kindness from a pool.
The sun will shine, the clouds will play,
And help my tree grow day by day.

Its tiny leaves will reach the sky,
While birds come singing, flying by.
They’ll build their nests, they’ll dance and sing
A tree can be a wondrous thing!

In time its branches stretch so wide,
Children will rest beneath its side.
It will give shade, and fruit, and song,
And stand there proudly, tall and strong.

So when you plant a tree, you see,
    You’re planting love and memory.
For every seed that finds its place,
Brings greener dreams to every space.

  • When the Soul Rests in Silence

    By Choitalyk Ruman

They say the world has lost its rhythm,
But perhaps the truth is simpler
The Divine whispers only in quiet hearts,
And few remember how to listen.

Step away from the storm, beloved,
Not in fear, but in remembrance.
Guard your peace as you would guard a prayer,
Let your breath be your rosary,
Each inhale; a return to the Beloved.

In the dance of endless hours,
Be the still flame that does not waver.
The world may rush and roar around you,
Yet your soul was not made of noise,
It was woven from silence and light.

Find beauty in the broken clay,
    For even shattered cups
Still hold the scent of tea once poured.
    Be gentle with your becoming,
Even dust knows its way back to God.

To stay whole is not to be unshaken,
But to soften like rain on weary soil,
To rest in trust, to breathe in surrender,
To let the noise of the world fade
Into the divine hush of your being.

    And in that stillness,
    You will remember,
    You were never apart,
Only asleep in the heart of Love.

  • A Letter to My Son: A Love Written by the Soul

    By Choitalyk Ruman

Some words come not from the mind, but from the heart’s deepest silence  where love speaks in the language of the soul. This letter is one such whisper, written from a mother’s heart to her son, reminding us all that love, when pure, is a sacred connection beyond time, distance, and form.

    My Dearest Son,

If you are reading this, it means you’re growing into the man I always saw in my prayers  gentle in spirit, strong in heart, and guided by light.

Life, my son, is not always gentle. There will be seasons that test your patience, moments that challenge your faith. Yet even in the storms, you are never alone  every struggle carries a hidden grace, every delay a divine purpose.

When the road feels uncertain, lift your eyes toward the One who never leaves. Remember who you are and whose breath lives within you. You carry the essence of something eternal  the same light that guided me when I carried you beneath my heart.

Be kind, even when the world feels harsh.
Speak truth, even when your voice trembles.
And keep your heart soft  for softness is not weakness, it is the soul’s quiet strength.

There will be days when you feel behind, when life seems to move faster than your dreams. But trust this: the soul moves in its own rhythm. What is meant for you will never miss you, and what is not will drift away with grace.

    Don’t chase perfection; seek peace.
Don’t race the world; trust your timing.
And when love finds you, may it be the kind that feels like home  calm, patient, and real.

If you ever fall , and you will, as we all do  remember that falling is not failure. It’s how we learn to rise stronger. And when you do, know that you can always return home  not just to my arms, but to your own truth, your own divine center.

No matter how tall you grow or how far life takes you, you will always be my little boy  the one who taught me that love is not control, but connection; not possession, but presence.

    With endless love,
    Mom (Ummey R. Miah)

  • When Life Feels Heavy, Gratitude Brings the Light Bac

    By Choitalyk Ruman

For a long time, I used to think gratitude simply meant saying thank you. Someone helps you , you thank them. Something good happens , you express appreciation. Simple.

But life, in its quiet and often difficult way, taught me something deeper: gratitude isn’t just a polite response. It’s a way of seeing. A way of living.

We all go through days that feel impossibly heavy , when the air itself feels thick, and even ordinary tasks take too much energy. You wake up, sip your coffee, stare at the same walls, and wonder, “When will this feeling pass?”

Have you ever had one of those mornings ; when nothing feels right, when even the light outside seems dull?

I remember one of those times vividly. Everything in my life seemed to crumble at once ; plans failed, relationships shifted, and I couldn’t see any way forward. I was just… surviving.

One morning, I heard a bird singing outside my window. Nothing special, it was a sound I’d heard a thousand times before. But that day, it stopped me. It felt like a tiny reminder whispering, “Not everything is broken.”

And that’s when I began to understand:
Gratitude isn’t about ignoring the hard things. It’s about recognizing the light that still exists , even when the world feels dim.

When we start noticing the small things ;the warm cup of tea in our hands, a message from a friend, the sound of laughter nearby , something shifts inside us. The sharp edges of pain begin to soften. The world doesn’t change, but our eyes do.

Gratitude doesn’t mean pretending life is perfect. It means realizing that even in imperfection, there is beauty. Even when something ends, something else quietly begins.

Some days, gratitude is just a whisper:
    “I’m still here.”
“I still have something to hold onto.”

And that whisper is enough to keep us moving forward.

    So, take a moment today.
    Pause. Look around.
Maybe your reason to smile is already right there , in the morning light, in the smell of fresh rain, or in someone’s gentle presence.

    Beauty never truly disappears.
It just waits , patiently , for us to notice it again.

What are three things you feel grateful for today?

    1. When was the last time a small moment changed your mood completely?
    2. Has gratitude ever helped you see something painful in a new light?

Share your thoughts in the coments, your story might be the light someone else needs today..

  • Gratitude Changes Our Whole Perspective

    By Choitalyk Ruman

There are days when everything feels heavy , like the air itself is thicker, and even simple things take more effort. You wake up, make your coffee, and wonder how to hold it all together. Yet, sometimes, in the middle of that quiet struggle, a small reminder appears , a bird’s song outside your window, the way the morning light spills across the floor, or a kind word from someone you didn’t expect.

It’s strange how gratitude often hides in those tiny, ordinary things. It doesn’t ask us to ignore what hurts. It doesn’t magically fix the hard parts of life. But it does something gentler , it changes the way we see.

When we start paying attention to what’s still good, even if it’s small, the sharp edges of pain soften a bit. The world feels a little less gray. We remember that loss and love can live side by side, that sadness can share space with wonder. Gratitude doesn’t erase the darkness, but it reminds us that light still exists and it’s closer than we think.

Sometimes, gratitude is just whispering, “I’m still here. I still have something.” It’s realizing that even when plans fall apart, or people drift away, there are still reasons  however fragile  to keep believing in life’s goodness.

So today, pause for a second. Look around.
Maybe your reason to smile is sitting quietly right in front of you  a familiar smell, a memory, a small kindness.

The truth is, beauty never fully disappears. It just waits for us to notice it again.

  • The Sweet Taste of Inner Peace

    By Choitalyk Ruman

In today’s fast-paced world, our minds often feel like stormy oceans, waves of thoughts crashing against each other, stirred by deadlines, responsibilities, and endless distractions. We get swept up in the current before we even realize it, tossed around by worries and expectations. Yet deep beneath the surface of all that noise lies something incredibly peaceful a stillness that patiently waits for us.

But how do we reach it?

When the Winds of the Mind Begin to Slow

The moment we slow our mental chatter, something almost magical happens. Like water calming when the wind rests, our thoughts gently begin to settle. The rush of to-do lists and worries doesn’t disappear instantly it softens. And in between those thoughts, tiny pauses appear. Quiet, almost invisible moments.

It’s within those little pauses that we first taste inner peace.

It feels delicate at first subtle, unfamiliar… yet unmistakably pure. A sweetness not found in excitement or achievement, but in calm presence.

    The Power Hidden in Stillness

Lao Tzu once said, “To the mind that is still, the whole universe surrenders.”

Stillness is not emptiness, it’s power. When the mind quiets, we rise above our thoughts and begin to observe them instead of being ruled by them. We stop reacting to every emotion and start responding from a place of wisdom.

Stillness does not mean withdrawing from life. It means showing up fully calm, aware, grounded even in chaos. From this space, life becomes clearer, softer, more meaningful.

    Mindfulness: The Pathway to Peace

Cultivating inner peace is not a gift for a chosen few. it’s a skill anyone can learn. And one of the most accessible ways to begin is through mindfulness.

Mindfulness is simply paying full attention to this moment feeling the breath move through you, noticing thoughts without getting lost in them, observing the world around you with gentle awareness.

Jon Kabat-Zinn beautifully summed it up: “You can’t stop the waves, but you can learn to surf.” Life will always bring its storms, but with awareness, we ride the waves rather than drown in them.

    Peace Is Not Far Away

Peace is not the absence of problems it’s the presence of clarity amid them. Life will never be perfectly smooth, but we can become steady. With each mindful breath, each moment of stillness, we return to our inner sanctuary.

The sweet taste of inner peace is not distant. It’s here hidden beneath the noise, waiting in your next deep breath.

So next time your mind races like a windy sea, pause. Inhale. Exhale. Listen not to the storm, but to the quiet beneath it.

You may find that peace has been within you all along, patiently waiting to be remembered.

  • I Understand Now

    By Choitalyk Ruman

I used to wonder about the quiet ones,
the souls who slipped into silence
    without goodbye or explanation.
I mistook their absence for apathy,
    their distance for disregard.

    But now I understand.

Some don’t go quiet out of pride,
    they go quiet for survival.
They vanish not because they stopped caring,
but because caring had worn them thin.

    They retreat to breathe.
    To heal.
To listen to the sound of their own heartbeat
    without the echo of expectations.

    Silence, for them,
    is not a weapon.
    It is a refuge.
A bandage wrapped around a tired spirit.

    And when they return
(not with noise, but with calm)
    you’ll notice the change:

    Their words softer,
    their laughter lighter,
    their boundaries unshakable.

They did not disappear to hurt anyone
    they disappeared to save themselves.

And now I see it clearly:

Sometimes the bravest kind of love
is the love you give yourself
in the stillness of your own company.

    Sometimes the truest return
    requires leaving first.
