Chains of Mercy

By ChoitalykRuman

I believe in Love—
the breath that moves the stars,
the secret fire hidden
within the clay of being.

I swear by Love—
for every oath dissolves
except the one
that Love itself whispers.

Believe me, my Love,
I am nothing without You.
This soul is a reed flute,
hollowed only to sing Your song.

How long must I wander,
a prisoner of grief,
pleading for the drop of Mercy
that turns dust into rose?

Break these veils,
let the heart dissolve in Your sea.
What is grief, what is mercy,
when only Love remains?
